Watching baseball
This a brief mea culpa, first for not keeping the blog updated. I've realized that I need to massively reduce my expectations for a blog post if I'm going to produce any whatsoever.
Second, for saying anything bad about baseball. I don't think for my entire adult life I've ever been a "sports guy". I just didn't see the appeal. Last year I decided I was going to go all-in on watching my partner's NFL team — The Detroit Lions — and make it my own. Dang that was a lot of fun. On the baseball front I've decided that I owe San Diego something, so I've decided to become a Padres fan.
It's a great sport. I get it now. I think at some point in the future I'll be playing around with baseball statistics, but for this season at least I'm just along for the ride.
